ABOUT THE BAND
Originally from Stockholm Wisconsin - Johnny Drifter, a vagabond of sorts, was drifting on his raft along the mighty Mississippi when he stumbled upon a young child floating in a basket. He named the child Aaron after Moses' brother because his story mirrored Moses origin story from the book of Exodus. Johnny taught Aaron how to play guitar and live off the land. Once the boy was of fighting age, Johnny knew he didn't have what it took to raise a child and gave up the child to his brother who was in a much more stable situation. In 2018, Aaron and Johnny reunited to form the Sippi River Drifters and introduced the world to River Music by featuring various musicians over the years. Ever since, they have taken River Music from one town to another connecting each other with the transcendent love communicated by the guitar. Aaron Armstrong currently leads the band and holds collaboratives in cities in Wisconsin and Florida. As for Ole Johnny, he's like a rolling stone, and still appears on stage once in a while. But we never really know, because he's still on river time. Enjoy.
